This suggestion for the 2023 Mario movie is gonna sound crazy but I think Mario should've been voiced by John DiMaggio using his Jake the Dog voice. (The reason why is because there were some points in the movie where Mario almost sounded like Jake.) Of course, this means that Uncle Arthur would probably be voiced by someone else like Maurice LaMarche.
